The Galapagos shark (Carcharhinus galapagensis) is a species of requiem shark, in the family Carcharhinidae, found worldwide. This species favors clear reef environments around oceanic islands, where it is often the most abundant shark species. Galapagos sharks are active predators often encountered in large groups. They feed mainly on bottom-dwelling bony fishes and cephalopods; larger individuals have a much more varied diet, consuming other sharks, marine iguanas, sea lions, and even garbage.

BULL SHARK TOOTH NECKLACES From the Bay of Bengal
(Indian Ocean) Carcharhinus leucas
This is an aggressive species that is considered the most dangerous to humans, even more so than the Great White and the Tiger Shark. This is because of the Bull Shark's omnivorous diet (i.e. EATS EVERYTHING) and habitat preferences.
This species may be found in murky water, where the splashing of a swimmer could be mistaken for a struggling fish. It is a large species which grows to a length of 13 feet.
The Bull Shark has also been called the Zambezi, Ground shark, Shovelnose, Slipway Grey River Shark, Freshwater Whaler, Estuary Whaler and Swan River Whaler. It has a distinct thick body, short blunt snout, triangular serrated teeth in the upper jaw, and a small eye. It is grey above and pale below, sometimes with a pale stripe on the flank.
The Bull Shark can live from coastal marine and estuarine, to freshwater. It has been recorded from the surf zone down to a depth of 450 feet. It is the only species of shark that is known to stay for extended periods in freshwater.
It has been reported 2500 miles from the sea in the Amazon River system, and is known to breed in Lake Nicaragua, Central America, and has a widespread distribution in tropical & warm temperate waters of the world.

RARE GREENLAND SHARK TEETH
(North Atlantic Ocean)
Somniosus microcephalus
This is a large species of shark, which can get as long as 24 feet long, with the dimensions like the Great White. This is Somniosidae (sleeper shark) also grows slowly due to the cold environment.
This species eats mostly fish and seals, and have been known to scavenge. These sharks are also covered by a bioluminescent parasitic copepods that eat away at the sharks eye tissue causing the sharks greenish appearance in dark waters.
The Greenland Shark has also been called the Gurry, Gray shark, or by the Inuit's Equalussuaq. It is the thickest body, short rounded snout, with thin, pointed and wide, square teeth, small fins and eyes, sometimes with a pale stripe on the flank.
The Greenland Shark can live from cold waters and has been spotted as far south as the Gulf of Mexico during the cold months. It has been recorded down to a depth 3900 feet and have been spotted at double that depth, seeking its preferred cold temperature. It is the only species of shark that is known to stay for extended periods in freshwater.
