They have retired from the cameo business after 28 years.  We have purchased their entire inventory of cameos, brass & molds, as of May 15, 2006.  Stay tuned as you will see the Cameos pages DOUBLE with all the new inventory we have acquired in quantities as well as MANY NEW FACES & BRASS.  (We have already found several dozen new faces in the first bin). First the un-mounted cameo inventory (last page) will show the increase, then the finished jewelry pages will grow with:

A couple who were mold makers took their own shell cameo collection and hand made latex molds.  Sometimes details within the mold are re-defined with dental tools.  They then take a liquid organic pine resin (domestic amber) - see photo of a cameo below, if they did not add color first to the liquid resin:

So to most they add a color, and hand-pour the face into the mold.  They may pour a second color for background.  When un-molded, we do edging and antiquing work on each, and mount them on polished genuine BRASS, reproduction Victorian style backings.

These are combo pin/pendants unless otherwise stated (a single jewelry piece on the back is a pin and pendant combined), see below:

No machines are used to make these cameos.  A handcrafted Where on Earth design, always one-of-a-kind!  Each comes with an authentication card detailing this process.

EVOLUTION OF THE CAMEO & BRASS PURCHASE

As of February 26, 2006, we have had a custom-built 12 x 24 foot storage building delivered just for the cameo inventory that we will be adding soon as we bought the rest of the inventory & business.  So stay tuned!  The unfinished cameo inventory will show first on Cameos page 7 as we sort them.
